You deserve a love so great, it turns your freckles into constellations.

Your heart into nuclear energy.

Your tears into waves that wrap around your body and hold you tightly.

You deserve a love so great, your very existence feels like a puffy pink cloud on a warm evening.

You deserve a love so great, your soul turns into a puzzle and they’re the last piece.

You deserve a love so great, every unsolved equation, every doubt, every problem can be fathomed.

You deserve a love so great, the air you both inhale, the breath you both exhale, become deeply intertwined.

You deserve a love so great, it leaves you trembling.

You deserve to be loved catastrophically.

I have some uber exciting news to share with you all. As of right now, I am putting my blog under construction. That's right, you heard me. So you can either beat it or put one of those yellow helmets on and get to work. I hope you choose the latter because I would never seriously tell you to beat it. o-o

OKAY BUT FOR REAL. It's been three years since I've gotten a new blog design and IT'S JUST SO FRIGHTENING BECAUSE THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING AND GAHHHH. *implodes*

I feel as though it's time that I take the next step as a blogger. You know? It's scary and I'm going to miss this design and everything about this stage in my blogging life, but I hope you all enjoy what I have coming for you. <3

Oh gosh, I feel like I'm getting my hair cut all over again. Hey, getting your hair cut is a scary commitment. Once it's done, it's done. But it does grow back and I'll still have this blog design saved...

Anywho. There's a lot more to it, but I don't want to #spoil anything for you. ;) Just bear with me and I will be back soon. I love you all so much. Thank you for sticking around with me for so long and leaving such motivating/sweet comments on all of my posts. *sniffles* You guys rock.

Your awkwardly introverted red-head signing out.

There will come days when you discover

new things about yourself.

And maybe that is what you do in life;

continuously discovering and learning every newfound aspect of yourself.

because just like the world, we are constantly in an everlasting form of change.

You guys- it's summer. Can you believe it? I can't. Time just keeps zippin' on by. I'm currently debating on either making some goals I'd like to accomplish or just drop everything and put my feet up. The latter sounds awfully nice but if ya'll know me, then you probably know that I always have some kind of goal lingering in the back of my mind. Right now, the most steady goal I have is to get a butt load of reading done.
I'm also planning on taking a summer class (*sigh*) and in the process of job hunting. I pray that all goes well. For now, imma enjoy this lovely weather. ;)

Talk to me.

Tell me three things you want to do this summer. Now, it has to be something you deeply desire, regardless if it happens or not.

For me? I want to:
1. Go on a road trip
2. Buy a big floppy sunhat
3. Be happy

She keeps living in a chapter

that has already been read.

She’ll have to turn the page

to find out what happens next.

Why should we be afraid to live?

Hearts don't break;

they crumble

and shatter.

Hearts don't break;

they get shoved

and sliced into,

resulting a maximum of various components.

Something that breaks

can be repaired.

Hearts don’t break;

they jab their wounds

with every intake

and exhale.

Hearts don’t break;

they detonate.

Yet, they manage to survive.

hands - journal excerpt

Sometimes she thinks about your hands.

Not in the way one may think about someone’s height or what size shoe they wear.

No.

Sometimes she thinks about your hands in the way they look- long and fierce, soft and gentle. How they hold pieces of you.

Your hands are part of you, in a way that describes how you feel and who you are.

Sometimes she thinks that your hands still hold the person you once were; in the webs between your fingers, and along the lines in your palms.

But-

The upper layers of our skin create new cells every two weeks. It’s been so much longer than that. Our skin no longer remembers one another. Parts of her can’t help but think that your hands still recollect the small moment you two had with each other- that they might actually remember her.

The way it felt to have your fingers intertwined with hers; and how she regretted pulling them away instantly after they did.

Are those recollecting feelings- hand in hand, skin on skin- actually memories for our bodies alone?

Sometimes she thinks about the way your palm pressed into her back while you hugged each other. Sometimes she thinks about how that very action expressed so many emotions: safety, protectiveness, strength, kindness, and affection.

Sometimes she thinks about what would happen if you put your current selves in that same position; when you held each other as if nothing else existed. Would your hands still touch the way they did? Perhaps, if they do remember one another. If not, would your hands remember how to hold hers and reach out for them like they did when she wanted them to, so badly?

Sometimes she thinks they might.

Sometimes she thinks she thinks- hopes- they are the only thing left that hold what was once between your souls.

I don't know you anymore.

retour au passé - journal excerpt

"I love you." She whispers into your hair.

You say it back, but she feels the uneasiness that has taken over your body. Pulling away, she studies your face in the orange glow of the dimmed lighting. "I mean it," you say truthfully. "But we'll destroy each other."

Her eyebrows pull together and you bite back the urge to smooth them apart. “How?” Her voice is small, innocent, like a child’s. She doesn’t know. She doesn’t know the hurt that you both have endured will eventually consume you both. She doesn’t know that it will leave you gasping for air as it piles up until you can no longer hide it. Until there is nothing left. Until you are strangers.

“Your love will no longer run as deep as it does in this moment.” You finally say. The words spreading acid on your tongue once they leave your lips. Your mouth and eyes burn.

“No, no,” she says, touching your hair, touching your face. “It won’t happen. I won’t let it.”

You break.

Your hand finds her’s and she squeezes your fingers. There will be nights when your heart breaks over the thought of that simple action. “We can’t stop it.” You choke. “We’ll love each other apart.”

She cries and you hold her, and she holds you as if it could hold onto the moment before it becomes a memory of two people who used to used to be a universe.

Before the world decided they were too much.
