I saw this on YouTube one time and it seemed like an interesting topic to write about. But oh boy... Am I ready for this? I don't know. These books... They're my babies. I need to protect them at all costs!
However, I'm also curious as to what y'all are saying behind my back. So, let's do this.
Reading Negative Reviews on (some of) My Favorite Books
Sometimes I don't like reading reviews because I feel like they may alter my opinion on the book. Especially if I just finished it. But there are some book I will never stop loving no matter what and no one's opinion could ever change that. ;)
Disclaimer: I just want to say that I respect everyone's opinions and you are definitely entitled to them. This is in no way, whatsoever, a mock of that. I already know that the books I love most have flaws and are definitely not perfect in the eyes of others. Every book is different for every person and I LOVE THAT. Okay? Okay.
To All The Boys I've Loved Before
I've read this book so many times, I've lost count. o-o But y'all already know how much I freaking love this book and the characters and the baking and Peter Kavinsky and the cute fluff and the baking and the Peter Kavinsky...
But yeah. I read this book when it was first released and it took me by surprise. o.O I fell in love with it more than I thought I would. So, let's see what some people have to say about this sweet baby.
"There are certain lines that you do not cross, and coveting your beloved sister's ex-boyfriend is one of them. That's why this book made me gag a little.This book was purposeless. There was no ending. There was no romance. There was no character growth (and the main character was pretty dumb to begin with)."

Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda
I think I've made it pretty obvious how much I love this book... *searches bad reviews whilst eating Oreos*"The only part I really enjoyed was the scene of Simon finally meeting Blue. And it's not just the twee-ness and forced cuteness of it all that I don't find entertaining anymore. Too many Oreos, and Reese's cups, and cookies, so many of them!"
It took me a little bit to find a negative review on this one and I certainly did not expect Oreos to be one of the causes of this... Oh well, more for Simon and Blue!
Everything, Everything
I am quite aware of the controversial opinions on this book. Even I might agree with some of them if I hadn't enjoyed it as much as I did. o.O"Generic Teen Book on Steroids."
The Fault in Our Stars
I know that John Green also has controversy on his books. Even I have to agree because I've read four books by him and only two were my favorites. He just has a different writing style that may only suit some readers. But this book is one of my favorites. It baffles me to know that I read it five years ago... WHAT? It definitely calls for a re-read."I have inside jokes on how stupid and shallow this book is."
Carry On
I'M SO SCARED FOR THIS ONE Y'ALL. I think I've made it pretty obvious that this has to be my all time favorite book of all time. And you must know that I have a terrible time picking favorites.
